Kingsley Theatre:
In January 2008 Kingsley Players created a proper theatre at the Community
Centre. As many of you are aware we were fortunate to obtain partial
funding under the Rural Recovery Fund to purchase a new stage and raised
seating system from leading stage manufacturers Mainstage of Lancaster.
Because our last two productions had unusual auditoriums our Pantomime
is was the first opportunity we had to show the system in its full glory.
We had our new stage complete with stage curtains and a full proscenium
arch stage front, together with staggered raised seating throughout
the auditorium which improves visibility from all seats. This coupled
with our lighting rig and sound system ranks as one of the best village
hall systems anywhere.
Next Production
Communicating Doors
The May play will be directed by Malcolm Barker. A comedy thriller, "Communicating Doors" is written by Alan Aykbourne. The plot follows a London 'sex specialist' from the future who stumbles onto a murder plot that sends her, via a unique set of connecting hotel room doors, travelling back in time to prevent two murders.
Following the recent audition, the cast is:
Julian - Neil Silcock
Phoebe - Laura Williams
Reece - Simon Sutton
Ruella - Kath Kerry
Harold - Colin Smith
Jessica - Lesley Silcock
DVDs
